Mode of Action
- The fungicide functions as a broad-spectrum systemic compound that protects plants and cures fungal infections. The fungitoxic properties develop in plants because the substance enters and moves throughout the plant system. The active ingredient moves intercellularly through xylem vessels after root application to reach the foliage while being carried by sap flow. The fungicide enters the xylem after leaf application to distribute throughout the leaf but fails to move backward toward the roots. The main mechanism of action involves blocking germ tube development, appressorium formation and mycelial growth.
